Earlier this year, Bradford-Tioga Head Start, Inc. was able to identify, rent, and set up a Family Playground Room for its children and families at The Wesley Academy building on Coates Street in Elkland. This room will be used monthly by Early Head Start families when they attend a family playgroup where they can interact, learn, and socialize with other children, families, and staff.

Early Head Start is a federally funded program for newborns up to the age of three years old including pregnant women that provides a weekly visit to the homes of eligible families.  In addition, Early Head Start provides health, nutrition, and family services; teaches parenting skills; and assists parents in setting family goals.
