Bradford-Tioga Head Start, Inc. Troy 2 Classroom Visits Farmland Animal Park

As part of their end of the school year celebration children enrolled in the Troy 2 classroom of Bradford-Tioga Head Start, Inc. visited Farmland Animal Park in Chemung, NY on May 25th.

During the school year the children had learned about farms and farm animals especially horse, ducks, cows and pigs. They also learned about plants; how things grow, plant parts and which plants are edible. All of these studies made visiting Farmland a logical choice as it is home to many animals including pigs, chickens, goats, turkeys, llamas, kittens and more. They children got to see and pet them all and to learn some fun facts about a farm.

The children also got to participate in some other Farmland fun! Each child rode a horse, went on a wagon ride and rode a wagon zip line. They had fun on the Farmland playground and even got to climb on the “ark”.

The Troy 2 staff, children and their families along with Bradford-Tioga Head Start, Inc. would like to thank Kennedy Valve in Elmira, NY who sponsored this adventure. Because of their generosity this trip was possible.
