Alicia McAdam – Teacher

Sheila O’Conner – Family Advocate

Lori Finnerty – Teacher Aide

Janice Smith – Classroom Aide

The teamwork at Wyalusing is very impressive!  They are a positive, upbeat group who always works together to best meet the needs of the children.  In their words, they consider each other as family and spend time together even outside of work.

A unique activity that was held in the Wyalusing classroom was a Mother’s Day Tea Party last program year.  Mothers, Grandmothers and female guardians were invited to the classroom for tea, cookies and donuts.  There was also a Father’s night activity where Fathers, Grandfathers and male guardians and relatives (even a neighbor came!) came to decorate birdhouses built by the Wyalusing High School’s wood shop class.

The Wyalusing Center also took kids on a field trip to the Tunkhannock Theatre to see Tom Knight sing and perform with puppets.  They also went to the Wyalusing Museum right next to the high school.

As far as milestones and accomplishments, Teacher, Ali McAdam, has reached her Level II Certification and completed her Master’s Degree! Ali also had a baby in the Spring.  Classroom Aide, Jan Smith, is completing coursework to obtain her CDA!  Great job Ali & Jan!

Overall, the Wyalusing staff are a very cohesive group who work very well together to provide a great learning environment to children.  They also provide wonderful support to families and to each other!
